Zombie Strips in NSFW New Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse Clip
'Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse' Review: A Witless Horror-Comedy - Variety
To even say that the zombie comedy is a tired, played-out genre feels like a tired, played-out thing to say. Which is even sadder, in a way. The two boys try to sneak away at night to hit the party, but then the titular zombie apocalypse hits. Accompanied by a leggy, bodacious, gun-toting strip club cocktail waitress Sarah Dumont , our adolescent heroes start to discover that their Scout skills might finally come in handy as they do battle against the slowly rampaging hordes of the walking dead. The gags are mostly puerile and uninspired — like the film was dreamed up by a bunch of tired, wired year-olds; it has their insistence but little of their invention. Actually, let me backtrack a little on that last point.

The most important element of a successful spoof is humor. The reason most spoofs fail is because they often try too hard in some areas while not trying hard enough in others. For example, early in the film, two of our teenaged scout heroes, Ben Tye Sheridan and Carter Logan Miller , take a trip to a liquor store in a scene reminiscent from Superbad , where from out of nowhere a cop with giant breasts walks in front of their car, just long enough for it to register, and then left alone, clearly setting up an appearance later in the film. David Koechner and Cloris Leachman are practically wasted in what are tantamount to glorified cameos with little value.
